Taking and storing your remedies and what to expect

The Homeopathic journey

In our journey towards health we often see that there is a cycle, as the body shifts habits or deeper patterns.

Experience has shown that people get optimum benefit from their Homeopathic treatment if they have support as they go through these necessary changes. People are seen for check in appointments at key times to check how they are responding to the remedy and also to gauge whether the remedy needs to be repeated or changed in potency.

What to expect

After taking the remedy, you can expect to notice some changes.  Some people notice general improvements in energy levels and optimism

Sometimes symptoms can appear to be heightened for a short period of time.  These are good signs that the remedy is taking effect.  The length of time for improvement varies depending on what sort of illness you have.

With acute illnesses (short term) you can expect to see a change in the patient’s state within 12-24 hours. If nothing has changed then the remedy prescribed needs to be changed as it isn’t a homeopathic (like cures like) match.

For long standing - chronic complaints - it can take more time for the remedy to show changes. In saying this though oftentimes people notice a big difference upon taking their first dose. The response is very individual.

Chronic complaints are more likely to take time to heal - it took time to get the body into the unbalanced state and it will take time to rebalance this. People often give the feedback that the changes were subtle but profound all in one!

Taking & Storing your Homeopathic remedies

Homeopathic remedies must be handled and stored carefully.

Do not store your remedy in the sun or near a microwave oven or other electrical appliance, and keep it away from strong smelling substances.

Homeopathic remedies work best if you have not had anything to eat or drink or brushed your teeth for 15 minutes before or after taking the remedy. Please also avoid using products containing peppermint, camphor or tea tree, as these can anti-dote the remedy.

  • Put the pillules into you or your child’s mouth. Avoid touching the remedy.

  • I prefer liquid potencies - but if you can only get hold of pillules please administer as below. Please note the pillules are made from lactose.
